"Clouin's
masterly work habitually hoodwinks in very intelligent ways.
In 'Cowboy' (1998) he 'impersonnates' the bovine beast in a special
species crossing with minimal apparel but great framing, while
in 'Diana, Texas' (1999) he breaks with the glamour code by using
ringing desktop bells under his shirt."

"Featuring
some of the most innovative experimental work of the Festival--including
Festival regulars Steve Reinke, Wrik Mead and Pierre Yves Clouin--Private
Passions is a programme of dreams, lovers, dark desires and
perverse anatomy... And the programme is topped and tailed with
Clouin's latest michievous work, where the body is transformed
into a wonderland of possibilities."
"Private Passions"
program notes, 13th London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, 1999,
British Film Institute, London, UK |
"A showcase
of the queer cutting edge; the experimental, alternative and
underground queer screen. Includes the auteur behind the '98
hit 'My Levitating Butt,' back doing more amazing things with
his body..."
